Description
Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) uses a high-energy, short-pulse laser as the excitation source to achieve optical breakdown at the surface of a target material.
From the breakdown plasma spectrum, one can obtain both qualitative and quantitative information about the material composition.
LIBS technology is a superior technology for aluminum alloy testing. It is free of the ionizing radiation hazard found in x-rays and has a very low maintenance cost.
Our LIBS analyzer provides a high-performance, low-cost solution for many customers and is backed by an industry-standard one-year factory warranty on the entire analyzer.
This handheld LIBS analyzer is designed with its intended users in mind at all times. From hardware design to user interface, we want our product to be user friendly. The ease-of-use features allows very little training before one can operate the instruments properly and safely, and achieve the highest quality results.
The world’s most compact and lightweight LIBS analyzer that is durable and easy to use.
Key Features:
- Fast Durable Accurate
- Reliable, high-productivity metal grade analysis in only 1 second for most alloys
- Idea for scrap metals sorting
- Positive Material Identification (PMI)
- Safe and nonradiative
- Low owner cost
- Especially for aluminium alloy grade and composition analysis
Key Applications
Fabrication and Positive Material Identification, PMI
The LIBS can quickly identify all kinds of stainless steel such as 304, 316, 316Fe, 321, and aluminium alloy such as 6061 and 6063. It also can detect Si and Cu content of aluminium and zinc alloy raw materials to determine whether the quality of raw materials meets the standard
Recycling and sorting
Along with recycling and the proportion of recycled raw materials used in the metallurgical industry has increased year by year, LIBS analyzer can filter recycled material before customers are buying, sorting and melting when the machine is ready for delivery before, the workers will confirm again, this step provides effective protection for production and sales. And it can improve quality management system, reduce error rate and reduce cost and improve efficiency.
Trading
In various metal trading markets, both parties can use LIBS to identify for stainless steel, aluminium alloy and copper alloy and on-site quantitative detection of main components so as to avoid losses due to material failure.
Product Details
Class 3B Laser
We use high-energy pulse-based safety laser technology, all-fluorescence-free (XRF) ionizing radiation hazard. The laser is no longer collimated after it has been concentrated by the optical path, and it does not harm the eyes during normal use. The reliable pulsed lasers have a long life span and typically last more than a million lifetimes.
Laser Safety Switch
The LIBS is designed with a safety on the head. It requires the panel to be close to the surface of the object to be tested before the laser can be turned on for testing, avoiding mis-operation and triggering the laser. It is available with mechanical and photographic safety switches to accommodate flat, curved and debris-like objects.
Top Industry Design
Fully enclosed housing (IP54) waterproof and dustproof. The body of machine is made of aluminium alloy, so it is very strong and wearable and it is suitable for long-time handheld operation. Large-capacity lithium battery pack can be used continuously for a whole day. The instrument does not have any fragile parts. It is more reliable than traditional fluorescence spectrometers, users can use it for long periods of time with minimal maintenance.
